It's Military Monday, again. What a sure-fire way to kick the Monday blues out of sight, huh?
This weekend was full of fun and interesting items.
Friday: put house back in order after a week of painting, staining, living single life while Marine was out training in New Orleans. (The pizza boxes and soda cans had to go!) Pick Marine up from Airport, head out to T.G.I.Fridays for steak and salmon and fried green beans with wasabi ranch. And no trip would be complete without a pit stop at Barnes and Nobles. I picked up Blake Mycoskie's new book "Start Something That Matters". he's the Chief Shoe Giver of TOMS. Which, yall need to order some TOMS right now. They're so amazingly comfy and for each pair you buy, a child in poverty receives a pair as well. As with his book, every purchase will provide a new book to a child in need. With all my coupons and discounts, it was $11 and worth every cent.
Saturday: A trip to a local southern mall, a movie, more Barnes and Nobles and Chili's for dinner. It was a perfect date DAY!
Sunday: church,(we're discussing HELL), new small group and our new favorite TEXMexican restaurant. They have white queso, and amazing enchiladas. It's quite similar to El Zarape on Emerald Isle, NC.It's destiny. Also, the small group is FILLED with youth leaders, so God is once again telling us to stick with youth. I guess we better listen, huh?
Oh, and rain alll weekend long. Our back yard looks like a mosh pit with leaves and persimmons. Belle dislikes it a LOT and has decided to go INSIDE...grrr.
And because yall might wanna join, too..
