Happy Fourth

Indy's great fireworks show is tonight. I cannot wait to see it. I've been hearing all the surrounding town's fireworks the entire weekend and I couldn't see them. So tonight is our night. We saw our neighbors home fireworks show last night, but that's not good enough :P

John Adam's quote from a letter he wrote to his wife Abigail commemorating our Fourth of July, even though our Declaration was completed on July Second...

The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.

Either way most July second's are holidays like the Fourth, we just take the whole dang weekend and make it special. Yay for freedoms to do that and THANK YOU to all the sacrifices by the military members and families, including my Marine.
