This dry and desert land..

Back from North Carolina Trip.

I'm back in Indianapolis, the land that RAIN forgot.
It looks like fall met the apocalypse here with all the dead grass, leaves falling off the trees, and no one outside because it's triple digit heat AGAIN.
It's quite eery.

But my garden is still green and thriving a little bit too much.
I have to re-stake several tomatoes, cucumbers, squashes, peppers, ..okay just about everything in the garden.

The Marine watered while I was gone, but that was about it.
Weeds weeds weeds.
Bleh.
Thankfully,  I have a harvest.
A bountiful one full of squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, tomatillos, peppers, swiss chard, lettuce, carrots, radishes, watermelons, and basil.

And EIGHT weeks until I run a half-marathon.
It's time to pound the pavement and rack up some miles and endurance.
Zoom.Zoom.

Emerald Isle! :) Just down the road from us. :) Love it there and AB. If it weren't for our pups eating anything in sight I'd have a nice little veggie garden too. Last year I tried, they got into it, dug into it and ate it... Sigh. Good luck with your running! Following from http://wifemomworklife.blogspot.com/ Come on by and follow back. :)
